What did I do ? Hmmm..
Well got up early, when for 9 holes of golf and was back by 11 plus.
Currently trying to fill up my mp3 player so that when I travel tomorrow I have
something to listen to as the ipod is with Philo.

Ripping CDs, very Old ones. Like Jimi Hendrix, G&R and the Police. As I listen
to the songs pretty cool. The blast from the past. As always when I listen to a song I remember that year and what I was doing.
Philo finds that strange that a music or song triggers a memory recall for me.
Well that's just me.

Can't find my Pearl Jam CDs : ( Hmmm.... must have put it some where.

Price of Petrol goes up tomorrow but it has its effects

Getting a promotion to Senior Manager.

A new car (After working many years I never bought a car. Driving my old car for many years)

Just wondering with all the stuff happening. BERSIH and now Hindraf.
I wonder if Hindraf is just ploy to make people forget about issues that
BERSIH brought up.

As this, gives reason for the powers that be to ban all public protest. No memorandum was given. Is the government trying to distract the public before elections ?

I started to blog because I wanted to keep an account for my
children's time on occasions, memories and things they had done. But it didn't turn out that way. I have not been regular but it is like once a year...
Anyways, I'm still thinking about whether to be a regular as this is not the first thing which comes to mind after work etc. After staring at a computer all day do I want to do this ? Hmm....

I'm usually very reserved and don't share my feelings but today at a company dinner I shared comments with another's functions boss about a peer of mine.
Not good but it was in hopes that it would help the teams I'm working with. Improve the peers workings with his staff.

The expression of the boss I was speaking too didn't seem to take it well from the facial expressions.

The questions should I have said anything...
Hmm..... will have to wait and see.

Nice and quiet place with nothing much to do. One shop, bar etc. Compared to London
a really small and quiet place....

Anyway here for a training course and looking forward to it.

The last few weeks being away in South Africa, Mexico etc has been tiring....

Looking forward to going home at the end of this week.

Another Interesting one !
Left Mexico City Airport one hour late. Don't know what was the problem.

Felt worried as I had a 3:15 pm pick up to the centre (Horsley court outside of London) for a 1:50 pm arrival.
Giving myself 1:25 minutes for immigration and luggage. As there will be a 15 pound charge for every 15 minutes of waiting time by the taxi service. Aiyo... expensive.
Since this is so far out of London this service was better then a normal taxi.
As they don't really know the place. As the recommended service by the company has a good arrangement with the transport provider.

Wasn't a good start. Btw, flying BA. Luckily there was a tail wind which helped. Arrive @ 2:10 pm with 1 5 minutes holding pattern. OK considering the delay.

The Gate Story.
While arriving at the gate there was an auxiliary power failure on the plane which meant the plane couldn't dock at the gate. Had to wait 10 minutes. Aiyo! 2:30pm got off the plane via the stairs. There was only one bus waiting. Aiyo another delay. But luckily flying business get to get off first (heh heh heh...) otherwise further delays. Managed to get on the bus. Arrived at the terminal no fast track lane for immigration.

The lane snaked for about 5 turns... Aiyo.... already 2:40 pm. Only had 35 minutes to clear immigration and luggage. Still waiting, still waiting. After that gave in and didn't bother and was prepared for the worst.

What to do had to patiently wait and hope the line would move faster.
Saw some people had immigration issues. A lot of questions and then had further questioning separately. Security @ heathrow is tight after the last incidents in Aug/September time. So of course more delays....

Finally... Just asked what are you doing here etc. Showed my returned ticket and stamped...

Cleared immigration @ 3:09 pm, walked quickly to luggage carousel area. Saw my bag. Still in tack. Walk out @ 3:13 pm with 2 minutes to spare.
In the End lucky....

Mexico

Was in Mexico last week. It was an interesting place.

Had to transit in Mexico city from Monterrey on my way to UK
Mexico City a nightmare airport.
Buggers damaged my luggage roller stand which was broken. When to the Aeromexico
counter and tried to claim compensation. But guess what they don't accept liability.
Had another transit flight to UK so had to go off. Of course provided a number to call the aeromexico customer centre. Yeah right with only a few hours and you expect me to bother to call.

Advice don't fly AERO MEXICO. Shitty airline... !

Yes, I missed his birth as I was away in Cape Town.

Was back for a week and was away again in Oct. Currently now in UK
One more week to go and I would be back home. Can't wait.

Sorry no photos yet, still in the camera. Will post when I am back

Have been quite busy lately as we are going into the 2nd Phase
of the project.

A lot of things happening tomorrow. With the Global Rollout looks like I will be doing a lot of traveling.

Not so good time because baby Ryan will be also born around that time. Expected date is 26 Sept but the doctor say it will be early.
So philo might deliver when I am away. Can't do much as it is a critical time in the project. Philo is not so happy about it

Have been quite busy but sad news.

My in-laws house was burgled on Monday.

Stole valuables, cash, passports, notebooks and can you believe it two golf bags.
Aiyo what is the world coming too....

Couldn't figure out why, golf equipment. But it was the iron which can be used for scrap metal...

Curse you robbers and hope you buggers burn in hell... !
Also Curse the buyers of scrap metal... and buggers who buy stolen goods...

There my venting for the day.....

Now time to finish some more work....

Sluggish car sales hit component makers

PETALING JAYA: Car component makers are bracing themselves for tough times
ahead with reports of a glut of 250,000 cars in the market.

An industry source revealed that about three-quarters of the 300-odd
companies could cease operations if the situation does not improve by
year's end.

“Most of these companies are highly dependent on Proton.

“The big component manufacturers are all right, but the small ones (low-
end plastic component makers) which are mostly bumiputra-owned are in deep
trouble with loans to pay and no business,” the source said.

On Saturday, Edaran Automobile Nasional Dealers Association of Malaysia
said there were 800,000 cars for sale in the market, 250,000 more than
usual, making it difficult for national car dealers to remain in business.

A source, who works for a component company, said several factors were
causing a slow-down in production of cars especially in Proton.

“Financing costs have gone up, everything is up except for income.

“Malaysian buyers have also matured and this has affected the sales of
Proton.”

It is learnt that Proton is only producing around 10,000 units per month
compared to 15,000 to 16,000 units previously.

It is learnt that at a recent meeting, Proton told component manufacturers
not to alert the media of the problems facing the industry.

“But there is no way we can keep it a secret. Eventually, the public
listed companies must explain to the Securities Commission why there is no
more profit,” the source said.

“Everyone is scaling down production and the only company maintaining
theirs is Perodua with sales of the Myvi models doing well.”

Another source disclosed that a company producing spoilers and bumpers
which used to operate two shifts a day had to cut its operations to one
shift since June.

The source said if the situation persisted, its workers might be laid off.

Meanwhile, used car dealers are confident the glut will lead to car
manufacturers offering incentives to customers to buy new cars.

Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Car Dealers and Credit Companies Association
vice-president Dave Lim said this would allow the manufacturers to clear
their stock.

“More importantly, the used car dealers are now ready to get new used cars
to sell,” he said, noting that if new cars were not sold, the used car
market would suffer.

“We have already made all the necessary adjustments in the past few months
since the National Automotive Policy (NAP) was implemented.

“We have stopped accepting trade-ins and have since cleared our stocks.

“The only difference now is that we will be buying cheap and selling cheap
as well.”
